Our NO.4 brushed finish duplex 2507 plates provide outstanding resistance to sulfuric acid condensation, seawater, and high-temperature exhaust gases in marine scrubbers.
Marine scrubbers using 316L or 317L stainless steel fail rapidly due to combined attack from chlorides, low pH environments, and thermal cycling.
Duplex 2507 offers superior performance with PREN >40, high thermal conductivity (reducing hot spots), and NO.4 finish for uniform corrosion resistance.

High nickel (7%) and molybdenum (4%) content provides excellent resistance to mixed acid dew point corrosion. The NO.4 brushed finish eliminates sharp crevices that could initiate corrosion.
Use 2507 grade for open-loop scrubbers operating with seawater. For closed-loop systems using fresh water, 2205 grade may be sufficient. Always verify IMO compliance for your specific application.
