Product Description
Lithographic printing aluminum sheet is the precision substrate on which the modern offset printing industry builds its plates. The material must combine extreme thickness uniformity, controlled mechanical properties and a surface that accepts electrochemical graining and anodizing, because the water accepting and ink accepting behavior of a finished plate depends entirely on the micro structure created in those treatment baths. Our 1050 and 1060 alloys are rolled in H18 and H19 tempers to give the rigidity that keeps large format plates stable on the press cylinder, with thickness tolerances held tight enough for the plate to clamp without image distortion.
Surface quality is everything in this application. We control rolling oil residues and surface roughness so that the strip is a clean canvas for the graining process, and we avoid alloying elements that would create hard particles and streaks in the final anodized layer. Plates made from our sheet deliver consistent water uptake, fast rollup and long press life, which translates directly into fewer stops and less waste in the print shop. We supply the material as coils for plate manufacturers who run continuous graining lines, or as cut sheets for trade plate makers, always packed so that the sensitive surface arrives clean and undamaged in any climate.

Lithographic printing aluminum sheet is converted into positive and negative PS plates, thermal CTP plates and violet CTP plates for sheet fed and web offset printing of newspapers, magazines, books, packaging and labels. Plate manufacturers grain and anodize the sheet, coat it with photopolymer or silver halide emulsion, and sell the finished plates to commercial printers. Beyond printing, the same high purity sheet serves the base material for anodized nameplates, membrane switch panels and decorative brushed aluminum products where surface uniformity is the deciding quality factor.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceThe sheet is interleaved with neutral pH paper, packed in moisture proof wrapping with desiccant, and shipped on pallets or in crates designed for clean handling. Coils are wound on cores with the sensitive surface protected by tissue and edge guards. Our release inspection includes thickness profile measurement, roughness check, composition analysis and a graining trial on sample coupons so you can verify the surface response before production.
