Electronics enclosure aluminum sheet must satisfy contradictory demands: it has to be stiff enough to protect sensitive equipment, light enough to keep shipping costs down, and clean enough to accept the fine surface finishes that customers judge a product by. Our 5052 H32 sheet answers all three requirements. The magnesium alloyed composition gives roughly double the strength of pure aluminum while remaining easy to shear, bend, punch and weld into chassis frames, and the material stays free from rust even when the enclosure is used in humid environments or washed down regularly. For customers who need maximum rigidity in thin sections we also supply 6061 T6 plate for base plates and mounting rails.
